Jacksonville Transplant Alliance

+ Join Group

Our Facebook page is open to anyone who has attended one of our support group meetings and is either a liver, kidney, or pancreas transplant patient or their caregiver.  Members must also be either in the process of being evaluated for transplant, be listed for transplant, or have been transplanted at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville.  The Facebook group is private and you must ask to join.  Simply log in to Facebook, search for "Second Chance Support Group of Jacksonville" and click "Join Group."

For patients and their caregivers who are awaiting transplant, we like to promote what we call "actively waiting."  So we host numerous social events, including lunch after each weekly meeting, a monthly potluck, and other group outings.  Please join us at our Tuesday meetings and on Facebook to find out more.

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, all support group meetings at Mayo have been temporarily cancelled.  The Second Chance Support Group is currently meeting online via Zoom every Tuesday morning from 11:00am-noon.  EmailSecondChanceJax@comcast.netif you'd like to join us.

The Caregiver Support Group meets on Thursday mornings, from 11:00am-noon in the 5th floor conference room in the Mayo Building.  The Caregiver Meeting is open to caregivers of heart, lung, kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients.

Patients are not allowed to attend these meetings.
