National Marina Days

National Marina Days is a national event that promotes safety and boating enthusiasm for the public.

For the last several years, guests at the Gabriel House of Care on the Mayo Clinic campus were invited to participate by Palm Cove Marina in Jacksonville. This year, the event was held on Saturday, June 10. Guests from Gabriel House are invited to attend and enjoy a boat ride and lunch compliments of Palm Cove Marina.

Gabriel House of Care is located on the Mayo Clinic Florida campus at:

The Gabriel House of Care was born out of the hearts and minds of transplant recipients and caregivers, physicians, transplant professionals, and leaders in the transplant community.  The goal was to create a comfortable and warm environment for transplant and cancer patients and their caregivers who needed temporary housing while receiving medical care at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville.

With a generous gift from Jorge Bacardi, lung recipient and member of the Bacardi Rum family, the project took flight.  Working with Mayo leaders, plans were developed and groundbreaking for the Gabriel House was held in March of 2010.  One year later the house was complete.
